For my family home, I wanted to create a large piece that encapsulates the feeling of “home.” When I think of my grandparents, I think of the meals we shared together the recipes and traditions they passed on to my parents, and the meals I eventually shared with them. Food has always been a way of connecting generations within my family, carrying memories, stories, and feelings from one person to the next. "Kumain na" is something my Lola (Yoya) always said to my cousins and I when the food is ready and she's ready to eat.
